I Ching Guide Online: How to Cast and Read the Book of Changes

The I Ching (Yi Jing), or Book of Changes, is the oldest oracle in the world -- over 3,000 years old. For millennia, people have cast coins to receive guidance on decisions, relationships, and the flow of their lives. Now you can do it online, free, with an AI guide who explains everything.

How the I Ching Works

You hold a question in mind and cast six lines. Each line is either solid (Yang) or broken (Yin). Six lines together form a hexagram -- one of 64 possible patterns. Each hexagram carries wisdom about your situation.

Some lines may be "changing" -- they point to a second hexagram that shows where things are heading. This is the I Ching's genius: it shows both where you are AND where you're going.

  2. Hold your question (optional but powerful)
