Summary

The Taiji Project is an interactive guide to Ba-Zi and the I Ching with an AI companion, Kaiava. We collect only what we need, never sell your data, and let you control optional conversation history.

Information we collect

  • Account data — email and password hash when you create an account; Stripe customer ID for paid plans.
  • Chart and reading data — birth date, time, and location you enter for Ba-Zi calculations; questions you ask about your chart.
  • Learner memory — short summaries Kaiava remembers across sessions (logged-in users) to personalize readings.
  • Conversation history (opt-in) — chat messages stored only if you enable “Save conversation history.” Off by default.
  • Voice — speech may be transcribed for voice input; we do not permanently store raw audio.
  • Usage limits — daily counts per account or anonymous IP for free-tier enforcement.
  • Newsletter — email if you subscribe to updates.
  • Analytics — first-party, cookieless page beacons (path only).

太極

Ba-Zi and the I Ching are traditional wisdom traditions of deep cultural and philosophical value. They carry no scientific or empirical validation, and neither is deterministic. Ba-Zi describes tendencies and terrain; the I Ching describes the nature of a moment and a wise response. Presented here as living philosophy and design objects, not as prediction.
