庚 Yang Metal
Gēng · the image is an axe or a sword
Yang Metal is the axe: sharp, decisive and built to cut through what is unnecessary. This Day Master tends to be direct, loyal and tough.
Strengths
- Decisive and honest, with a strong sense of fairness
- Courage and follow-through
- Protects friends and principles
What to watch
- Bluntness that hurts without meaning to
- Rigidity: metal that never flexes can cut too close to people
- Difficulty softening after a conflict
In everyday life
Work
Strong in roles that need decisiveness and standards: engineering, law, security, surgery, leadership under pressure.
Relationships
Loyal and straightforward. Warmth and patience, not only correctness, strengthen close bonds.
Under stress
Under pressure, becomes harsher. Physical activity and a clear task help.
Balance
Raw metal is refined by Fire and flows better with Water. How the chart supplies these shapes the expression.
Your Day Master is only one of the eight characters in a Ba-Zi chart. Seasons, the other pillars and the 10-year luck cycles all shape how it shows up. Ba-Zi is a traditional wisdom system that describes tendencies, not fixed outcomes.
